The resort is looking tired and dated. We paid $330 for one night in a 1 bedroom sunset view room (Room 210), which was the last room available. The room was motel standard, not worth what is being charged. The bed was small (double) and …

After a booking mix up our end Sharon went out of her way to assist to place our group into a 2 Bedroom apartment. Her overwhelming positive attitude was refreshing and very much appreciated, a wonderful host. No doubt we will be back again, perfect room and view

We just recently stayed in room 208. It was dirty with dust on most surfaces and build up of dust behind and under all beds. The windows were disgusting too, with the tracks full of dust and bugs. The 4 single beds were on wheels with no brakes, meaning they rolled around on the vinyl floor everywhere. We did ask if we could have the wheels chocked on day 2 of our stay, which was semi fixed with what chocks could be found and either 1 or 2 of the 6 wheels were chocked on each bed, so they still rolled across the floor. The ensuite toilet seat was dangerously loose, we asked for that to be fixed on day 2 also, which it was. There was water damage to the floor next to the kitchen, which had formed a big hump in the floor and vinyl was lifting along the vinyl and tile seam. The kitchen cabinets were also damaged from the water. The furniture was old and had chips and laminate peeling off it. The lounges were uncomfortable with some cushions higher than others with springs obviously on their way out. I had to exterminate a cockroach 🪳 I found crawling all over the main bathroom vanity top one night. The main bed was meant to be a king but was a queen, and the ikea mattress was that old and BROKEN that the sides of it had collapsed out and it felt like we were going to roll out of the bed all night on each side. The real cruncher for us was when I pulled back all the sheets off the beds on departure and left them in the middle of the bed (as I always do)…. The main bed mattress was MOULDY!!!! And full of brown stains!! The mattress was well and truly past its time. I felt sick knowing I’d just spent 3 night sleeping on that! Upon checking out at 10am on Saturday morning, to voice our concerns about the mattress I’d just discovered, the reception conveniently opened at 10:30. There was no paper provided to leave feedback either. The room served its purpose, but that’s all it did. It needs a bit of love and attention and some money spent on it to bring it up to a standard you would expect from a hotel. Whilst the reception staff were friendly and prompt with the couple of little things we asked for, we expected better. Providing a clean and working mattress, with sides that aren’t collapsed should be standard.

My stay at The Point has been enjoyable. The host is pleasant and friendly. She happy to help in anyway she can. The room is tastefully decorated with everything you would need. There's a nice pool area and of course ocean swimming across the road. There are plenty of eateries nearby. I decided on paying for a room with ocean views. Delightful.

The rooms are terrible. We paid over $300 per night for a mid week stay. The carpet is ripped, there is water leaks in the bathroom, doors missing from the bedroom. There was just a thin sheet on the bed and pillows that had no filling. Very disappointing especially for the price. Will not stay here again.

We booked a golf course view room for two nights. Has already booked before reading other reviews. All the negative reviews were unfortunately pretty accurate. For the price they are charging the rooms are pretty average. The golf course view room is more like a view over the resorts Putt putt course and other people’s houses. There was mould in grout in the shower. And no light so the shower is really dark. The room smelt so strongly of bleach that my husband and I got headaches. You can’t have the toaster kettle and tv on at same time or the power shorts out. And carpets felt dirty and grimey. The lady on front desk advised that we could change to an ocean front room the next day but then when I waited at desk to enquire the next morning. .. almost half an hour later after they were meant to open (because apparently a store nearby was having a sale and she had to drop in and buy some clothes first ) the lady on desk advised me that no there was not a room available to move to now. This resort is unfortunately a three star at best. The location is pretty much only thing going for it.
